The Stair Guy Video Volume 1: Stair Building Techniques and Jigs
$29.99
This is volume one in the Stairguy series. It is about stair building techniques and the jigs, actually hand tools that were developed to compliment these techniques. The ideas were developed by professional carpenter and stair specialist Roland Scholler, The Stairguy. This is part of a new video series that will grow over time with more techniques, tools and hardware. Because of his specialization in the stair building field for over 25 years, Mr. Scholler has enjoyed a six figure income for many of those years. He has decided to impart on you a way you can also increase your income and has cracked open the Stairguy vault to share some of those money making ideas with you. The great thing is there is nothing to buy; you use the tools that you already own and quickly build the jigs (tools) on site as you need them. Now you can use your tools to greater effect with these ideas and techniques. You will be impressed at how much this video will increased the usefulness of your equipment and your bottom line.
-The Groove: This jig makes tough project joinery connections and fits possible.
-The Extreme: A safe and accurate way of cutting almost any size moldings at extreme angles (60 degree on up). You use your miter-box saw and make no modifications to your saw to accommodate the Extreme.
-New angle cutting methods: Figuring out difficult angles and cutting very small, delicate moldings using your miter-box saw so they don?t explode and ruin your work.
-The Easyblock: Making the measuring, cutting and fitting of easements a snap. An easement is the curved transition piece that connects the raked stair rail with the rail going to the second floor landing or a horizontal rail piece (ie a volute) to the main floor.
-The Transferr Transportor: Some of the toughest jobs on a staircase are figuring, fitting and mitering an angled skirtboard to a vertical riser. This little item makes that task a breeze.
-Throughout the video: A constant flow of new ideas, useful to professional and novice carpenters alike, along with a lot of great humor as only a tradesman can appreciate.
Any one idea in this video, used just once in a practical application on site, will pay for the cost of this DVD and then continue to produce dividends from there on out.
-The Stairguy.
